A Beach-Inspired Wedding at Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, Florida

Complete with anchor-accented welcome bags and driftwood-inspired centerpieces, Julie Garcia (30) and Jorge Miranda’s (39) waterfront wedding added an elegant beach atmosphere to the private Ocean Reef Club. “The night that we got engaged, we both just immediately knew we wanted to have our wedding at Ocean Reef," says Julie. "My husband grew up going to Ocean Reef on weekends and during the summer. It was also a very special place to his father who passed away shortly after we started dating." Photography by Santy Martinez captured each moment as the couple started their wedding day with a palm tree-lined ceremony that extended into a chic gold and white reception. With the help of Parrish Designs, the couple’s head table was lined with coastal tablescapes of ghostwood, succulents, white lilies, small starfish and silver candle lit lanterns. “I wanted the natural elements to shine, so I opted for more simple and natural centerpieces,” says Julie. Another standout detail was a mint light-up Anchor accent at the reception. For Julie and Jorge, it was both an accent and a meaningful symbol. “The anchor was featured on our invitations, our monogram featured on all the stationery, and an anchor marquee even graced our head table,” says Julie. “It represents family and being anchored in love and in each other.”
