A Beach Destination Wedding at Casa Violeta in Tulum, Mexico

Inspired by her love of the Spring 2015 Dolce & Gabbana show, Farina Sadeghi wed Dan Shillingburg on the beach in Tulum, Mexico, on the eve of their 10-year anniversary. "We got engaged in Tulum and lived off mezcal and tacos for a week," Farina says of returning to Tulum 11 months later to say "I do." Dressed in a strapless satin gown with flowers in her hair, Farina skipped shoes and instead walked down the aisle barefoot before she and Dan exchanged vows under an arch draped with gauzy fabric and vibrant red blooms. Once at the altar, the pair were married by a shaman, in a traditional Mayan ceremony, before 64 guests offered up their individual blessings to the newlyweds. "It was really intimate and special," Farina says. Afterward, the celebration kicked off in the dining room at Casa Violeta, where partygoers sipped signature mezcal margaritas before digging in to an indulgent dulce de leche cake. "Everyone grabbed a drink and got sweaty," Farina says. "We danced all night." —Rachel Sylvester
