An Elegant Baroque-Inspired Wedding at Taglyan Cultural Complex in Los Angeles, California

Although Annie Tigranyan (24 and a scientist) and Ross Fu (28 and a scientist) were working in professions that weren’t related to art history, Annie's parents were classical musicians, and at a young age she fell in love with the art, music and style that led to their Baroque-themed wedding. The couple held their traditional ceremony inside the ornate Saint John Armenian Apostolic Church in Los Angeles, California, and had their reception next door inside the ballroom at Taglyan Cultural Complex in L.A., with Micah J Photography capturing the occasion. Annie chose an ivory wedding dress made of soft Italian silk complemented with a veil accented with rhinestones, and Ross wore a classic black tuxedo and ivory silk tie to match the bride. The white, gold and mint color palette influenced the flower arrangements, including Annie’s bouquet of long, overflowing white orchids and the gold-painted leaves on dining table centerpieces, arranged by Floral Design by Ana. Since Annie is Armenian and Ross comes from a Chinese background, they wanted to acknowledge both cultures on their big day for their friends and family. “Our wedding as a whole reflected who we are -- very cultural and artistically minded," Annie says. "We incorporated elements from both our cultures into the whole wedding. Our guests came from all parts of the globe -- it was an international fete!”
