A Barbecue Wedding at the Abington Art Center in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania

Shelby Zitelman, 29, co-founder and COO of Soom Foods, and Dan Stamm, 32, a digital media producer at NBC 10 Philadelphia, met through mutual friends and continued to date for four years. Dan proposed at the restaurant where they went on their first date and, despite having a broken leg, got down on one knee to present Shelby with his great-great grandmother's diamond in a diamond studded band. The couple wanted to have a backyard barbecue wedding and joked that their own backyard wasn't big enough, so they picked the Abington Art Center in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania with a historical old mansion, big law and garden that allowed nature to provide the decorations. "We chose bright yellow and blue tablecloths for the main dining tent, wooden picnic tables and brightly colored picnic blankets for areas, but otherwise, we worked with what nature gave us - a beautiful blue sky, gorgeous green grass and trees," Shelby recalls. The ceremony took place on the outdoor stage at the Abington Art Center and guests watched from ?white picnic tables and blankets spread out on the lawn, with parasols, umbrellas and spray sunscreen available if needed. At the cocktail hour, spiked lemonades and iced teas were served, and the main course included hot dogs and hamburgers with various toppings to fit the barbecue theme.
