A Pastel Beach Wedding at the Oceanbleu Bath and Tennis in Westhampton, NY

After a serendipitous meeting in a coat check line and two years of dating Jim and Stephanie got engaged at the Grand Canyon. For their wedding, the couple chose another scenic spot a few hours from their home in New York City. “Being from different countries, we were contemplating between Singapore and London - however since the bulk of our friends are in NYC we decided it had to be within the vicinity. We knew we wanted a Summer wedding at a venue near the beach so we checked out several places on Long Island and the Hamptons. When we saw 'Oceanbleu - Westhampton Bath & Tennis', we were hooked!” says Stephanie. Stephanie and Jim played up the romantic beach setting with a pastel blue color palette and seashell details to create a "Hamptons meets Mediterranean" vibe. They also incorporated nods to their cultural heritages (Stephanie is Chinese and Jim is from the UK) with Chinois vases, paper lanterns, a rickshaw ride to the ceremony and the Union Jack flag. For the reception, Stephanie and Jim amped up the fun-factor and gave the party a sense of humor with party props like a blow-up palm tree and photo booth cardboard cutouts. The night ended with a beach bonfire and danced all night to eukelele music.
