A Loft Wedding at Studio Square NYC in Long Island City, New York

This wedding began with a formal ceremony and ended with an extended reception complete with two DJs and a band at Studio Square NYC in Long Island City, New York. The best part: It was all inspired by their venue. Once Carolyn Billeci (27 and a nurse practitioner) and Justin Rinon (28 and a registered nurse) saw the loft, rooftop ceremony space and gorgeous views of New York City's skyline, they were sold. “When we walked into Studio Square, Justin and I looked at each other and said we would either have our wedding here or not at all,” Carolyn says. On their wedding day, they highlighted the space with a few personal touches. A runner covered in writings about love and famous quotes lined the aisle as orange flowers petals accented the sides. Justin met Carolyn at the head of their ceremony space in a slim-fit charcoal gray tuxedo and DIY fabric rose boutonniere. She was dressed in an ivory, lace wedding dress by Augusta Jones with a birdcage veil. After they exchanged vows, the pair sneaked away for a few photos in a vintage New York taxi with Stylish & Hip Weddings while their guests enjoyed the cocktail hour. When they returned, the party kicked off with a surprise. Carolyn hired Justin's favorite DJ, Cosmo Baker, to play for an hour followed by their favorite band, the Bandulos, and another DJ, Danny Estrella. “Justin looked like a little kid on Christmas Day,” Carolyn says. Everyone was having too good of a time to stop dancing, so the night ended one hour later than planned. For future newlyweds, Carolyn shares a tip: “Just have fun and enjoy your day. Nothing is more important than your happiness.”
